This top-up degree programme aims to provide students with an understanding of the operations and management of the business world. The course can help students develop an analytical mindset and strengthen their critical thinking capability. Various skills involved in entrepreneurship in a global context will be introduced, which can then be applied to different organisations.

This programme focuses on both academic and practical work-related skills. Students will be examining various theories of management and their application in the workplace.

Programme Highlights
An honours Degree at University College Dublin takes three academic years to complete (over three ‘Stages’). In the case of the Bachelor of Business Studies (Hong Kong), the duration of the programme is as follows:
Stage 1: Exemption granted due to Accredited Prior Learning
Stage 2: One academic year
Stage 3: One academic year

The programme consists of 8 core courses and 4 specialist pathway courses. The 12 courses can be completed in 18 months in Hong Kong as follows:

Honours in the degree will be awarded based on the overall grade point average in accordance with the University's course regulations.

10% of pre-course assignment
40% of main assignment
50% of examination

Entry Requirement
Higher Diploma / Associate Degree in business, management, accountancy, banking, finance, industrial management or equivalent
Applicants holding other Diploma-level qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

Refund Policy
The program allows for full refund of tuition fee if withdrawal notice is received in writing by the Kaplan Higher Education (HK) Limited prior to the start of each of the terms. There will be no refund of installment fee if withdrawal notice is received after the start of each of the terms. All fees paid less application fee will be refunded if the course is withdrawn or not offered.

On premature cessation of the course, all fees and charges that have been collected in respect of any part of the course failing to be conducted on or after the date of the cessation will be refunded within 1 month of the premature cessation.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours) degree program, which is offered by National University of Ireland, Dublin, in conjunction with Kaplan Higher Education in Hong Kong.

There are long established linkages between the National University of Ireland, Dublin and Hong Kong through the large number of our graduates in Hong Kong, many of whom are from the School of Business. We are pleased to make our BBS degree available in Hong Kong. The BBS is a specialist degree qualification with widespread international recognition throughout the business world, with UCD School of Business holding accreditations from AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.

Students on the program have access to the latest thinking and practice in their chosen specialism, and will have the opportunity to interact with some of the most prominent members of the academic community in Europe.
