International Foundation Year (IFY) is the first stage of the NCC Diploma programme and can be completed in one year in Hong Kong. This programme provides the best fundamental knowledge that sets students on the path to a diploma, hence paving the way for future articulation of university studies.
The programme lays a solid foundation for future studies in business related discipline.
Provides over 60% of English teaching curriculum, designed to improve students’ English language, oral and communication skills
Prepares students for further academic studies by polishing their English language ability, which is the first language in the global business scene
Recognised by a number of prestigious universities worldwide, so students can opt for both entry into local or international universities
Upon graduation, students can continue study on the NCC International Diploma of Business (IDB) programme to increase their business knowledge before entering international universities
Students are formally assessed by a combination of continuous assessment and examinations

Entry Requirement*
Form 5 completers with an average of at least 65%, OR
HKDSE with a minimum of 2 subjects at Level 2, OR
Student of Project Yi Jin, OR
Higher School qualification^ with education systems other than Hong Kong will be considered on a case-by-case basis, AND
All students must also
- achieve the required level in the NCC Education Standard English Placement Test (SEPT), OR
- produce an internationally recognised certificate at the same level (i.e. IELTS 4.5)

Refund Policy
The program allows for full refund of tuition fee if withdrawal notice is received in writing by the Kaplan Higher Education (HK) Limited prior to the start of each of the terms. There will be no refund of installment fee if withdrawal notice is received after the start of each of the terms. All fees paid less application fee will be refunded if the course is withdrawn or not offered.
On premature cessation of the course, all fees and charges that have been collected in respect of any part of the course failing to be conducted on or after the date of the cessation will be refunded within 1 month of the premature cessation.
