While companies in Hong Kong are seeking business opportunities in mainland China, logistic and supply chain management is one of the fast growing industries with wide future prospects. This pathway leads to investigating the design and systems of supply chain and global logistics. It also equips students with practical knowledge regarding resource planning, which can help minimise potential loss or wastage.

Graduates with a master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management are most sought after by different trading and manufacturing companies. They are expected to help organisations to review and improve their own supply chain system to achieve optimisation in resources allocation. This programme is highly suitable for those currently working in a wide range of organisations including logistics, flight and cargo management, trading and manufacturing. Students who successfully complete this programme can apply for the membership of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Duration
Stage 2 and 3 can be completed in 18 months (two academic years)

Teaching Mode
24 face-to-face teaching hours per module
50% of the modules are taught by UCD Faculty lecturers and professors, while the rest by international associates
Each module will be delivered independently over a 9 week period. Each module is provided with 24 hours of seminars and workshops (6 consecutive sessions of 4 hours each) after office hours in the evening and/or over weekends/public holidays.

Assessment Method
Each module is assessed by:
10% of pre-course assignment
40% of main assignment
50% of examination

Entry Requirement
A minimum 2nd Class honours degree in business or a related discipline; or
An honours Higher Diploma in Business Studies; or
A primary degree with a minimum of 3 years’ work experience; or
A professional qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ work experience
Applications may also be considered on the basis of work experience alone. In this case, a minimum of 3 years work experience in a business related area and at management level or above must be met

A sum of HK$2,750 is refundable if application is unsuccessful. For accepted applicants, this is not refundable.

Candidates who do not comply with the fee schedule will not be permitted to proceed with the programme.

Refund Policy
All fees paid less application fee will be refunded if the course is withdrawn or not offered. On premature cessation of the course, all fees and charges that have been collected in respect of any part of the course failing to be conducted on or after the date of cessation will be refunded within 1 month of the premature cessation.

The program allows for full refund of tuition fee (excluding application fee) if withdrawal notice in writing is received by Kaplan Higher Education (HK) Limited prior to the start of the term. There will be no refund of installment fee if withdrawal notice is received after the start of a specified term.

1. The course is recognized by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, graduates are eligible to apply for membership. Link
